De-Specialist Works were tasked with forming a new hydraulic car lift and stacker within the ground floor and basement at Marsham Street. The refurbishment goal was to transform the existing office building into some 60 elegant one, two and three bed apartments providing adequate parking, cycle storage and showers within the original footprint for the residents.
In order to achieve this, it was necessary to make major structural changes to the existing reinforced concrete frame. This involved breaking out existing slabs and forming new walls, beams and slabs to accommodate the parking structures and hydraulic lift.
In addition to this, De-Specialist Works were also given a number of additional structural alterations and general works which included forming a new retail demise to the ground floor and all basement car park finishes.
Throughout the course of this project De-Specialist Works encountered a number of challenges given the prime location in the heart of Westminster. Some of which included restricted deliveries and noise constraints.
Through careful planning and a pro-active approach, such constraints did not affect the successful delivery of this project on time and within budget.
All works carried out demonstrated to our client the diversity, positive approach and quality of work De-Specialist Works are able to achieve under all circumstances.
